Job Requisition ID # 24WD76867 Position Overview We're looking for a Principal UX/UI Designer to join our growing Weave Design Systems team here at Autodesk! The Weave Design System is a collection of standardized design patterns and reusable UI components to allow our teams to create cohesive digital experiences for Autodesk products. The team operates centrally, serving all Autodesk, not one specific product team. As Principal Designer for Weave, you will help to develop the system with new design pattern work, human-centered design workshops, amendments to current patterns and contributions from product teams. The daily work will range from design audits, reviews, close collaboration with product teams, and actual hands-on design work. You will bring expert-level familiarity with our Design System (not right away!) to help guide teams in adoption. We are looking for someone who is an excellent collaborator, designer, and can think holistically. We're designing a platform for design to work for all products at Autodesk. You will report to the Director of Weave Design System The location of this role is Toronto, ON. Prefer candidates willing to work hybrid/remote from our Toronto offices. Must include resume and portfolio with password/access when applying. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with designers, developers, and architects across teams and organizations
- Help mentor Junior Designers
- Support product teams' adoption of Weave through consultation and education
- Guide and participate in design reviews to maintain a high standard for all Weave components and documentation
- Help in development of processes to ensure quality of Weave design components and patterns
- Partner with product teams to contribute patterns back to Weave core
- Create new patterns for Weave
- 8+ years of design experience working with UX teams and ideally design systems for software
- Experience collaborating across distributed teams
- Demonstrated experience presenting to leadership
