Job Summary: This is your opportunity to join the Receiver, Exciter, & Back End Processing (REBEP) Department as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer. The department’s primary goal is to design, develop, and support land and sea-based radar systems. We are looking for a unique engineer to enhance the sustainability of our current radar products. The ideal candidate will have experience in legacy radar hardware and software technologies, with an interest and ability to transition these products to current technologies while maintaining and troubleshooting and patching our deployed systems. This role will be 100% on-site and based in Marlborough, MA. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Lead sustainment of legacy radar systems, to involve troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.
- Port legacy Unix tools to modern Linux or identify replacements.
- Support software integration, testing, and verification.
- Assist in proposal writing.
- Occasional travel to other Massachusetts locations.
- Typically requires Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years’ of prior work experience OR an Advanced degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ of prior work experience.
- Embedded C and/or Ada software development experience.
- Experience with FPGA development.
- Experience developing on VxWorks and Linux/Unix platforms.
- Experience working with VMEbus-based systems.
- Radar domain experience.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Experience using a VMEbus analyzer.
- Experience using version control systems.
- Experience developing in C++.
