The Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of the manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines, both domestic and international. The organization is looking for a motivated individual to lead and develop a team of ~14 employees consisting of software and electrical engineers. This team is responsible for development of test solutions for the Vision Systems product lines that will be provided to Collins Operations, service centers, design teams, and other customers. As a key member of the leadership team, the leader ensures they have a high-performing team in place to support the development of test engineering solutions at multiple locations across the United States. This is a multi-faceted role requiring versatility across a variety of tasks in a highly collaborative environment. The role requires working closely with engineers and leaders, at various locations around the globe, to ensure project success. Organizationally, the role reports to the Associate Director of Avionics Test Engineering. May be eligible for relocation. Primary Responsibilities:

- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Experience working with Collins Avionics’ Vision System product lines including cameras, heads-up and helmet worn displays
- Experience with software and hardware development for the aerospace industry
- Background in Optical Engineering
- Proficiency with C# and LabVIEW software languages
