Sets day-to-day activities and assists in managing and monitoring production operations, maintenance, plant engineering, scheduling and personnel. May be eligible for relocation. Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve Daily/Monthly/Quarterly delivery targets through disciplined production execution of day-to-day operational objectives
- Drive problem-solving and process improvement mindset, through application of practical problem-solving tools and coaching behaviors
- Develop team performance in the areas of safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Ensure team compliance to Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Management System
- Initiate investigation into process deviations, operation abnormalities and outline corrective action to prevent recurrence
- Responsible for skills development of team by outlining an effective training plan with proficiency matrix and identification of required skills improvement
- Implement discipline based on applicable standard and company policies
- Provide leadership coaching and development for team leads
- Create a culture of ownership and winning, as a team, for the customer
- Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience with specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations within aerospace industry
- Experience in manufacturing assembly process
- Proficiency in problem-solving methodologies
- Ability to provide direction within technical processes
- Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution
- Intermediate knowledge in SAP
- Experience working with Union employees
- Be on a career break of one or more year at time of application
- Have prior experience in functional area of interest
