The Meta Reality Labs Product Marketing team is seeking a Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about building and marketing innovative social VR products and experiences that inspire meaningful human connection, creation and self expression, and new audiences to discover VR.This position will join a team responsible for product marketing for Avatars across VR and the Meta family of apps. This role is deeply embedded with the Avatars product team which builds platforms & tools that enable great consumer products and third-party (3P) developers to bring Meta Avatars into their experiences.Our ideal candidate is analytical and creative, and can transition between tactical project work as well as strategic influence with product leaders. This product marketing team is focused on the inbound phase of product marketing and the strategy that informs outbound marketing with internal partners. Inbound product marketing responsibilities include foundational analysis to identify market needs by segment, opportunity sizing, gathering deep feedback from internal and external stakeholders, and representing the customer within the product team. Product Marketing Manager, Avatars Experiences Responsibilities:
- Shape product roadmaps through market & customer research, competitive analyses, audience segmentation & sizing, and deep dives into developer needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute product launch and GTM efforts. Drive target audience definition, value proposition & messaging development, content creation, and GTM channel activation across developer audiences to achieve awareness, adoption, and retention goals.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the VR and mobile/web ecosystem for users and be the voice of the market within the Org.Demonstrate a strong understanding of the broader VR ecosystem and competitive landscape to develop strategic product feedback, positioning and messaging.
- Partner effectively with Product Management and Marketing & Communications teams to lead successful product marketing communications around test and launch phases and clearly communicate value propositions of new products to go-to-market and brand teams.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, fast moving environment
- 3+ years of experience in product marketing, product strategy, analytical roles or relevant experience.
- Experience communicating with a variety of audiences (both internal and external) and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. product managers, engineers, data science, legal, policy, partnerships, Ops)
- Experience influencing product roadmaps through relevant research and analysis
- Experience launching products positioning statements.
- Experience creating detailed go-to-market plans including audience definition.
- Experience creating clearly defined value propositions.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners (Marketing, Legal, Comms, etc.) to identify & execute marketing channels/activations.
- Bachelor's degree.
- MBA degree.
- Experience with building and launching platforms, products, and tooling for digital marketplaces
- Experience working cross-functionally on ambiguous 0→1 projects within a fast-paced, changing environment
- Balance of creative and analytical thinking, putting forth best-in-class execution within a measurable and data-driven framework
- Interest for and understanding of Virtual Reality and/or Gaming
