Job Description We are looking for an enthusiastic Trade Compliance Specialist to join our Global Trade Management (GTM) team. The GTM team adds strategic and financial value for our organization by providing regulatory & security support, optimizing all aspects of the Supply Chain and sharing insights with the business throughout product & manufacturing decision making processes. In this position you will closely work with the EMEA GTM team and also work across the organization to help mitigate risk and generate savings. Therefore it is crucial that you have demonstrated success working in international, diverse project teams and have the ability to approach challenges on a strategic and operational level. The Trade Compliance Specialist reports to the Senior Manager, Global Trade Management and would be based in Gurgaon , India What is expected:
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of global Customs (specially EMEA regulations- preferred ) , import requirements, Export requirements , ERP management( handling Import , export declarations ) and managing Free trade agreement related documentation with vendors/ suppliers, etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including negotiation and presentation skills. Communicates effectively and interacts professionally with customers, co-workers and management.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, multi-task, and use time effectively. Demonstrates attention to detail.
- WPart of the India COE team and work closely with the EMEA/US GTM team and manage day-to-day operational import and export compliances, issues etc . This includes coordination with the business stakeholders, customs brokers, Forwarders , Customs authorities etc
- Contribute to GTM day to day operations (e.g. Customs ERP platforms like TOT, DACO and AD ERP QAD, due Diligence projects) regionally / Corporate level
- Develop, implement and update Trade compliance manuals, policies, procedures and guidelines (SOPs) from time to time and look for optimizing the ops activities
- Provide advice on complex business matters to all GTM stakeholders including, but not limited to, Finance, Tax, Legal, SCM and Sales teams
- Manage the FTA( Free Trade agreement) solicitation process with vendors/customers, COO creation & legalization of doc’s etc
- Manage post entry data management and analyze risks/opportunities
- Manage the customs declarations (Export & Import) with European Customs ( Online filing of declarations-day to day operations)
- Flexible to work under EMEA time zone ( 3.5 hours difference from Indian Standard Time)
- 3-5 years of working experience in the field of International Trade & Customs (preferably within an international manufacturing environment)
- Working knowledge of EMEA(Europe) trade regulations and law is preferred , with particular emphasis on the European Union, with a focus on classification, (preferential) origin and customs valuation, and managing day to day declarations with EMEA Customs ( central operations)
- Demonstrated success leading projects across organizational units, regions and functions
- Bachelor Degree in International Trade or International (Tax) or other similar education in the field of International Trade, or equivalent work experience in the GTM functional area
- Excellent thinking flexibility (out of the box)
- In Depth knowledge of Excel, Google sheets using functions and ERP platforms is a MUST
- Experience with customs related software packages, Oracle, QAD ERP system
- Fluency in English is must
