- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in a policy, legal, Trust and Safety, or technology environment.
- JD, MBA, or Master’s degree.
- 6 years of experience with data privacy or security systems.
- Experience with the development, implementation, and maintenance of policy.
- Experience with the mobile app ecosystem, data security and privacy or related issues.
- Drive research and collaboration to set industry standards and advance education around the first principles that define our approach to trust risk areas.
- Support Google Play and Android policy strategy execution, identify policy gaps, and resolve high-profile policy issues coming from the public, regulators, users, and internal stakeholders.
- Engage internally with stakeholders across Google Play and Android and externally with key influencers and SMEs to identify and analyze emerging security and privacy threats, abuse trends, policy gaps, and opportunities, and make recommendations on how to address them.
- Partner with Operations to evaluate and improve enforcement processes and guidelines and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure policy analysis and recommendations consider all teams’ perspectives.
- Occasionally review or be exposed to sensitive or graphic content as part of core role.
