Job Description We are seeking a strategic, seasoned communications expert to join our growing team of global communications professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for storytelling and the ability to craft compelling, customer-focused stories and engagement strategies to build trust, loyalty, and advocacy for ServiceNow and its leaders. The Director of Executive Communications will create and deliver effective strategic, integrated communications for ServiceNow’s Chief Technology Officer. As a trusted partner and advisor, this person will drive well-designed, high-impact communications that elevate the CTO’s visibility and thought leadership across channels and audiences. This role is ideal for someone highly experienced in working with top-tier executives, crafting compelling, bespoke leader communications, and managing complex projects with precision and efficiency. We are looking for an individual who thinks quickly, skillfully manages competing priorities, and excels at building relationships with diverse stakeholders. This person will ensure that all our CTO’s communications, both internal and external, are authentic, insightful, and relevant, driving meaningful connections with audiences and measurable results. Responsibilities
- Understand the communications landscape and various audiences’ needs, evolving to reflect business priorities and the external environment.
- Provide strategic counsel to the CTO and his Chief of Staff on communications best practices and opportunities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to elevate our CTO’s profile and spotlight the accomplishments of ServiceNow’s engineering organization.
- Create and deliver executive visibility programs that turn ideas into compelling narratives, frameworks, and creative storytelling concepts.
- Deliver high-quality work products, including scripts, speeches, videos, and social media amplification plans.
- Plan and support events, including quarterly Town Halls.
- Connect and engage employees through storytelling that celebrates the engineering team’s culture of purpose-driven innovation.
- Establish and manage processes to ensure timely execution of communication efforts, providing key stakeholders with visibility into progress.
- Develop and execute communications plans to support organizational changes and M&As, partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Use data to evaluate communication activities and develop best practices and strategies for improvement, iterating plans and messaging accordingly.
- 12+ years of experience in communications with proven results in executive thought leadership, social media, and internal communications.
- Strategic mindset, business maturity, and experience advising and working with senior executives.
- Ability to navigate in dynamic business environments and collaborate with diverse stakeholders and teams to drive desired outcomes.
- Expertise in identifying, developing, and telling impactful stories across multiple channels.
- Exceptional writing skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Experience in high-growth technology and engineering organizations is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications or related field preferred.
