Date Posted:2024-02-14 Country:United States of America Location:HMA02: Engine Comp (TFT) - Peabody Peabody Industrial Center, Peabody, MA, 01960 USA Position Role Type:Onsite The Materials Associate performs a variety of manual/administrative tasks associated with inventory control, stockroom, kitting, expediting, shipping and receiving operations in accordance with established procedures. Primary Responsibilities:
- Receives, checks, stores, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.
- Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.
- Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.
- Proficiently uses computer hardware/software.
- Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment, records calibration logs of tools and equipment.
- Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.
- Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.
- Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.
- Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.
- Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function.
- HS diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Experience using a computer
- Stockroom or warehouse experience
