- Develop and implement machine learning algorithms and statistical models for predictive modeling, and clinical decision support
- Conduct data exploration, feature engineering, and data preprocessing to prepare data for analysis and modeling. Evaluate model performance and conduct validation tests to improve accuracy and relevance
- Develop and execute advanced analytics initiatives end to end (e.g. predictive modeling, causal inference, experimentation design, NLP etc.)
- Present insights and research to stakeholders, and build lasting partnerships to deliver solutions that positively impact our members and providers
- Help us build responsible algorithms that are fair to our members and their communities
- Balance handling ad hoc requests while also driving larger projects
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Two (2) years of experience using data science tools like SQL, R or Python
- Prior work or academic experience applying statistical and machine learning methods
- Familiarity with cloud technologies
- Continuous Learning Mindset
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Data Science, Math, Statistics etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking abilities, and capacity to approach complex healthcare challenges with innovative data-driven solutions
- Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries across large data sets
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R and data manipulation libraries like pandas, Numpy
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud computing technologies
- Expertise in statistics and experimentation design
- Knowledge of or previous work experience in health care of health insurance
