We specialize in the development and integration of high quality, highly secure, complex solutions for military communication systems, navigation systems, and networks to enable a Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training environment. We design and develop secure Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI) systems and mature them from the concept phase through accreditation, factory production, and installation This position is located onsite in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. What you will do:
- Support rapid prototype capability development from requirements capture and design through deployment to the customer.
- Conduct system-of-systems integration, troubleshooting, and verification testing
- Develop in a collaborative Agile DevSecOps environment (Git, Kubernetes, Bamboo)
- Act as a mentor and coach, reviewing the work of junior engineers.
- Perform bidding and planning of systems engineering effort.
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience, OR in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 10%
- Knowledge of Linux OS environment
- Experience with scripting (e.g. Python)
- Knowledge of systems networking (TCP/IP, UDP, IPv4)
- Experience in the following areas of systems engineering: requirements development, design, integration, and test
- Knowledge of 1553 or Fibre Channel bus interfaces
- Knowledge of virtualization software or test automation
- Experience in an Agile development environment
- Ability to investigate problems to the root cause and then champion the creation and implementation of corrective actions.
