Job Requisition ID # 24WD76327 Position Overview The Design Program Manager will help our Experience Design (XD) team in Asia Pacific operate and collaborate with other global design colleagues and stakeholder teams as they develop critical experience foundations to underpin the Autodesk Fusion cloud product. You are a systems thinker who has had experience maturing complex, global design systems and building programs to ensure that they operate efficiently. This includes identifying where connections and processes need to be established to support critical design work that is happening between teams in the USA and Asia Pacific and ensuring that these teams are well set up to collaboratively design critical components, layouts and signature experiences that are essential for success. You are equally experienced in both managing established programs, which require strong organization, communication, and task management skills, and in identifying opportunities for improvement, applying design thinking to create successful solutions. This is a hybrid position in Kilsyth, Melbourne. You will report to Director User Experience. Responsibilities
- Design Program Management focused on enabling the design of critical experience building blocks to form the foundation of Autodesk Fusion's device independent future
- Develop project plans, scope and schedule. Assist team members in planning, estimating, and controlling tasks. Develop action plans to mitigate risks. Identify alternative solutions
- Drive communication and collaboration across offices and time zones and across multiple teams including Designers, Engineers, Product Owners, Product Managers, Software Architects / Tech Leads, and key stakeholders within other organizations
- Monitor program to ensure completion within defined schedule, budget, and quality parameters. Prepare and distribute various reports and updates on the status of the program to multiple audiences, including executive management, functional management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure satisfaction with program management services and deliverables. Work proactively to resolve critical issues. Develop strong relationships and maintain effective communication channels
- Organize program team meetings and communications to keep team members informed and engaged
- Owning and managing programs and initiatives focused on ensuring design system maturity, design efficiency, and design impact
- Promote design-focused collaboration within the PDMS XD (Design) team and with peer organizations
- Coordinating programs to help design extensions to the core Autodesk Design System
- Design and run the governance program for the extensions to the Autodesk Design System
- Work with the Platform XD Director to design programs to support team health
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years design program management experience within a software environment
- Familiarity with user-centered design practices, UX tools and techniques, and software development methods, primarily Agile
- Strong track record of managing and completing initiatives successfully
- Experience working with and influencing cross-functional teams to align goals and efforts
- Demonstrated strong writing, reporting, and documentation skills (examples may be required)
- Strong verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to travel as needed
