Date Posted:2024-04-17 Country:United States of America Location:RAZ99: RTN Remote, Arizona Position Role Type:Remote Position Overview: The Raytheon Contracts team has an opening for a Manager, Contracts to support the JSOW program in the Naval Power Mission Area portfolio. This position will support all a diverse range of contracts across various aspects of the contract lifecycle, and will be a key program role in supporting a production restart for the JSOW program. We are looking for a Contracts professional with strong contract management experience and a proven track record of leveraging team-work with internal and external stakeholders to drive solution-oriented results. The successful candidate will have strong prior US Government Contracting experience and be capable of working in a fast-paced environment while operating as an independent self-starter and leader within their program team. Contracts managers are entrusted with our most important asset: the trust and respect of our customers. The official face of Raytheon to the customer, Raytheon’s Managers, Contracts handle essential communication, negotiation, and contract management throughout every phase of our customer relationship. Working as a strategic business partner within Raytheon, our ultimate aim is to deliver balanced, equitable deals that ensure mutual long-term success. This position offers an opportunity to be engaged in a broad range of activities, including supporting definitization of an undefinitized contract action (UCA) for a production restart, a key capture effort for the program that will entail significant engagement and problem solving with internal and external stakeholders to achieve success. Additional contracts activities include integration and sustainment for the US Navy as well as numerous Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers across various points of the contract lifecycle. This position offers a remote work location. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). Flexible work arrangement is available from Tucson, AZ. Some travel to other Raytheon sites and customer locations plus some domestic travel may be required. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Analysis of Request for Proposals (RFP).
- Proposal reviews and coordination.
- Contract negotiations.
- General contract administration.
- Estimate at completion (EAC) reviews.
- Support program management and execution reviews.
- Influence and collaborate closely with Program Management, Finance, Supply Chain, Engineering and other key Stakeholders.
- Ensure negotiated terms and conditions comply with company policies.
- Advise management of contractual rights and obligations and possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
- Occasional domestic travel may be required.
- Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience; or an advance Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience
- Prior experience with US Government contracts, knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), and related U.S. Government regulations
- Proposal preparation and negotiation experience
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience managing production contracts valued at $100M or higher
- Experience with US Government and US Prime Contractor customers in the acquisition and end-user communities
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
- Strong contracting, written and verbal communication and organizational skills
- Works independently with minimal oversight, but willing to confer with management as appropriate
- Past experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently
- Demonstrated ability to solve difficult and often complex problems by 1) analyzing the issue 2) drawing from prior experiences 3) collaborating with key stakeholders
- Seek opportunities to make moderate to significant improvements of processes, systems or products to enhance performance of work area
- Business acumen with financial understanding of our business
- Substantial knowledge of Raytheon Technologies Projects, Programs or Systems
- Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures
- Current Active DoD Secret clearance
