Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Job Summary: Raytheon is seeking motivated System Engineers. In this role, you will work with an amazing team of talented system and software engineers who are leading the industry in ground system solutions. These programs provide development, integration, operations and sustainment for next generation, cutting-edge satellite ground software. Systems Engineers provide technical direction and clarification of requirements to software development teams & test personnel, perform system engineering analyses including trade studies, algorithm development, requirements definition and derivation, interface definition, and requirement validation and verification. Systems Engineers support definition of operations concepts and procedure planning / development, interface with personnel from other organizations, and represent the program at technical interchange meetings. Systems Engineers also participate in daily program scrum meetings and provide status on assigned Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) tasks. Responsibilities to Anticipate:
- Developing and maintaining Requirements, Algorithm Description Documents and User Manuals.
- Performing functional decomposition of requirements to meet system and domain level needs.
- Participating in system engineering artifact reviews.
- Conducting performance analyses, risk analyses, and trade studies
- Managing and maintaining assigned documents in accordance with established systems engineering and configuration management procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM).
- This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Familiarity with Requirement Management tools such as IBM Rational DOORs or others.
- Basic understanding of DEVSECOPS
- Basic understanding of Agile development process.
- Understanding or experience with AI/M.
