The Communications & Air Space Management (CAMS) business area is looking for an enthusiastic new college hire to be a finance professional to support the STARS (Standard Terminal Automation Replacement System) Finance team as a cost, schedule and control analyst. STARS is the Air Traffic System that is used by all US airports to control air traffic in the terminal area. It is also used by all DoD airfields across the globe. This position requires a dedicated individual who can be successful in a fast paced and demanding environment. The selected individual will be a part of the Business Management Finance team in supporting the overall finance requirements of the STARS program. In this position, you will become proficient in the financial systems, processes and procedures for the STARS program. The assignment will include, working in the EVMS tools, aiding with EACs, financial analysis, variance analysis, customer support and Program Surveillance support of the STARS program. This position requires a dedicated individual who is willing to become involved in and learn all financial aspects of STARS. Follow established standards regarding Raytheon financial policies and compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements. May support proposal generation and work to fulfill goals as a team player. This individual needs to be a self -starter who can work with little supervision and the ability to find solutions to complicated financial problems. May be eligible for relocation Primary Responsibilities:
- Program cost and schedule financial analysis, budgeting and estimating
- Assist with weekly/monthly financial Earned Value reporting requirements
- Perform Ad-hoc financial and variance analysis upon request
- Be an active member of Finance team; seek ways to optimize/share best practices across the program.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g: formulas, functions, pivot tables, Vlookups)
- Working knowledge in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
- Strong organization and analytical skills, ability to work well in a team, and have strong communication skills
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the information under this program/contract
- Enthusiastic, “can-do” attitude with strong desire for experiential learning
- Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Relevant internship or co-op experience
