This includes establishing and executing short- to medium-term operational plans (e.g., less than 1 year to 1-2 years). Partner with COEs and Shared Services to equip leaders to improve decisions that depend on and impact people to create value and improve business results. This role will be worked onsite in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Relocation assistance is available. Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute the long-term strategy by creation of the site HR strategy for 1-2 years out, aligned with GOS HR strategy and stakeholder inputs.
- Partner with functional managers to develop and implement local human resource strategies that are appropriate for their business needs, and consistent with the organization's overall people strategy, including, but not limited to: workforce planning, succession planning, change management, employee development, performance management, compensation and recognition, and positive employee relations.
- Lead and/or partner with COEs to effectively support the people strategy.
- Partner with Total Rewards COE to direct the compensation and benefits programs to ensure competitiveness to attract, hire and retain local talent.
- Partner with RTX L&D and Talent COE, develop and deliver employee training and development programs to enhance current exempt level skills to prepare them for future roles.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition COE to establish our site as an Employer of Choice.
- Lead the Talent Review process and provide guidance and advice (influence, coach, challenge) to the leadership team on the process, tools, resources, and expectations. Review strengths and weaknesses of organization’s talent pools and succession plans, identify plans to address common development needs (including key talent movement), and coach leaders and individuals on effective development plan creation and execution. Partner with Talent COE on solutions.
- Partner with Communications function appropriately to develop effective communication channels to ensure timely and updated information is disseminated across the organization.
- Lead and develop a team of HR professionals who partner with leaders to ensure that the organization’s human resource strategy is implemented effectively and within established budgets and complies with all relevant regulations, laws and employment standards. Leverage best practices and regional expertise. (Clarity in goals/priorities and expectations, Active Development)
- Lead key annual HR processes including, but not limited to: compensation planning, workforce planning, talent acquisition/pipeline, talent program nominations, talent reviews, etc.
- Build and foster a culture of employee engagement consistent with making RTX a great place to work, grow, & belong through the values of trust, respect, accountability, collaboration, and innovation. Sponsor the local Culture Council in creation and execution of their roadmap.
- Work across the function to build, execute and status the functional Diversity, Equity and Inclusion plan to drive tangible improvements in diverse representation. Integrate Diversity and Inclusiveness principles and practices into business goals, talent acquisition and development strategies, ensuring a robust talent pipeline. Promote a strong culture of inclusion across the function.
- Review and develop local HR policies/procedures/programs as needed to ensure that they are current and align with RTX, the business/site, local laws & regulations, and employee needs.
- Work with various government agencies to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations and protect the company’s best interests.
- Lead and support the implementation of CORE as an operating system to achieve excellence in our HR processes; continually improve processes and systems to support employee experience lifecycle.
- Travel up to 5%
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. Collins Aerospace will not offer sponsorship for this position.
- Experience in multiple HR fundamental areas (talent acquisition, compensation, performance development, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, organizational change, learning and development, and org. effectiveness).
- Experience as an HR Partner, executing talent agenda.
- This role will be worked onsite in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico. Candidate must be local to the preferred location or willing to relocate.
- Possess business acumen, be innovative, adapt well to change and work collaboratively with strategic influence to drive initiatives across a matrixed environment.
- Proven experience serving as the prime consultant and coach to senior leaders for their organization on HR matters relating to organizational strategies and business imperatives.
- Ability to develop and present senior level leaders with proposed solutions that will collaboratively drive change throughout their organizations.
- Project management and prioritization skills with proven attention to detail.
- Analytical skills to draw appropriate conclusions from data and expertise in systems, anticipating second and third order of effects when making recommendations.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
