Senior UX Designer - Remote R0040441 TeamMate® is the leading audit management software system used by audit professionals all over the world. Using an integrated strategy for managing audits, TeamMate eliminates the barriers created by disconnected electronic files and increases the efficiency and productivity of the entire internal audit process. As a Senior User Experience Designer, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team tasked with delivering a key piece of our next-generation solution. You will work under the guidance of the Lead UX Designer, but you will be responsible for driving UX activities of this highly collaborative team. This includes continuous user research, UX workshops, building low-fidelity prototypes, and creating high-fidelity designs. If you want to join a dynamic, highly passionate, and engaged product team that cares deeply about understanding customers and uses that knowledge to drive product and design decisions, this is the position for you. This is a Remote role and will report to the Lead CX/UX Designer and under the leadership of the Manager, CX/UX Design. You will have no direct line supervisory responsibilities. You may oversee the work of colleagues and consultants in the course of project execution. #LI-Remote Required Job Qualifications (Minimum):
- 4 - 8 years of experience as a UX designer leading projects
- Are an experienced interaction and visual designer with experience creating complex B2B SaaS applications that required a deep understanding of how people work
- Enjoy creating rough, low-fidelity prototypes and are comfortable working out just enough detail to test your hypotheses with users and learn quickly
- Highly proficient in Figma or similar design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.).
- Experience conducting user research interviews to discover user needs or to evaluate designs.
- Can easily adopt new UX methodologies and follow defined processes, and also know how to improve processes
- Experience facilitating a variety of UX workshops with team members and stakeholders, such as synthesizing user research, concept generation, and mapping the user experience
- Comfortable training and coaching others in how to perform a variety of UX techniques
- Enjoy helping others improve their UX research and design skills—no matter their role
- Understand that design is always about trade-offs and that solutions need to satisfy both user needs and business objectives—and can explain your design rationale to any audience
- A formal education in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Information Architecture, or a related discipline is a plus
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team to solve complex problems.
- An online portfolio (or examples you can walk us through) that demonstrates your abilities. Be prepared to describe the processes used, your role, and the outcomes.
- Minimal travel required (less than 20%)
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
- Can help define user research projects
- Experience designing data visualizations
- Experience creating Figma prototypes using variables
- Worked as part of an Agile Scrum team
- A formal education in Interaction Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Information Architecture, or a related discipline
- You will work under the direction of the Lead UX Designer to take the lead on UX for one large project, while supporting other projects
- Work closely with the product manager, product owner, developers, QA, and others on a team to help ensure we're solving the right problems with the right solutions for our users
- Participate in and learn to facilitate all UX workshops with team members and stakeholders as part of the Contextual Design process (Includes interpretation sessions, affinity mapping, visioning, and storyboarding)
- Oversee and guide the whole team in conducting Contextual Inquiry user research: discovery research to gain a deep understanding of our users and their needs, and evaluation research to test concepts and designs, so we can iterate and learn quickly
- Create low-fidelity designs and prototypes in Figma to test early-stage design concepts with users
- Create high-fidelity designs in Figma based on user research, our design system, and early feedback from developers. Help create documentation for those designs and support development as they implement the designs.
- Present research findings, designs, and other key deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders
- Become familiar with the Wolters Kluwer design system, promote its use within TeamMate, and contribute new design components and variants
- Work as part of an Agile Scrum team, including estimating and tracking all UX work in Agile stories
