Senior Preboarding Specialist, Background Investigations - Employee Lifecycle Events
The Background Investigations team supports an integral part of the preboarding process for new hires ensuring smooth communications between internal and external stakeholders and candidates.

The ELE Senior Preboarding Specialist - Background Investigations (BI) monitors the completion of background investigations to reduce risk in the hiring process. The role teams closely with candidates, talent acquisition, the Office of Security, the BI vendor, as well as the Preboarding team to provide background investigation status.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $60,000-$110,500.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Job Responsibilities:
- As part of a team, acts as a dependable, responsive point of contact for Pre-hires and other Talent stakeholders responding to questions on status of BI's.
- Helps to maintain the shared BI mailbox with timely replies and effective communications and follow-through.
- Use advanced excel and analytical skills in monitoring reports to determine if candidates are approved to start based on an outlined process established by Office of General Council (OGC) and the Office of Security.
- Collaborate with the Office of Security when various discrepancies need resolution.
- Serves as liaison with Preboarding team and Talent, keeping them informed of potential start date changes due to pending BI elements.
- Supports the ELE BI Preboarding Manager with ongoing projects and initiatives.

QualificationsRequired:
- Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years of Human Resources experience or related experience
- Ability to work in an ambiguous environment required
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high volume and deadline driven environment
- Ability to identify issues and escalate accordingly
- Ability to work with minimal direction
- High degree of professionalism and integrity and ability to work in a highly confidential environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
