About your Role:
As a Youth Mentor you will develop structured and positive relationships with young people that empower them to succeed in everyday life. Services are primarily delivered in a community setting, to youth with identified behavioral and/or mental health concerns placed in ODHS foster homes. Youth mentoring is client driven and provided during times identified as most relevant to the client (including nights, early mornings, and occasional weekends). Using a combination of modalities including Motivational Interviewing and Collaborative Problem Solving when working with youth to identify and accomplish specific goals.

Does the following apply to you?
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
- One (1) year of relevant experience (additional education and/or life experience may substitute)
- CPR/First Aid Certification- provided by an agency
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (NCI) Certification- provided by an agency
- Ability to pass fingerprinting and background checks
- Valid drivers license, clean driving record and auto insurance
