About the role

The Sales Account Manager (Digital Team) will be responsible for generating revenue from growth of cloud software sales inc. but not limited to CCH OneClick & associated services from accountancy practices across the UK and to achieve targets as directed by the line manager. This will be achieved in a manner of ways but predominantly via face-to-face field activity as well as events and other activities.

The post holder will account manage existing customers as well as generating new business revenue via proactively contacting accountancy that are not both non-active & active CCH Software clients, either face to face or by telephone. They will continually communicate the Wolters Kluwer proposition to our customers.

They will also work closely with other departments to ensure customer expectations are met. To communicate with line manager on performance, and to maintain effective and accurate records within our Salesforce CRM system & forecasting tools as directed by line manager.

As Digital Specialist you will play a pivotal role in building and growing the customer base of Wolters Kluwer TAA. You will have a good working understanding of ‘cloud’ technology and be able to understand and feedback requirements from your customers into the team. This will involve product requirements, marketing and accounting

About you

Essential Role Requirements:

  • Educated to minimum degree level or equivalent relevant work experience;
  • You will have a proven track record of growing revenues within a high tech, IT consulting or services company in both business development and account management
  • You will have the ability to develop a business case and demonstrate value to your customers
  • Proven at building relationships
  • Demonstrated experience selling & enabling SaaS solutions
  • Experience selling solutions comprising of consulting, implementation and training services
  • Previous knowledge and experience of the Tax & Accounting industry;
  • Previous experience of working in a similar target-based sales role within a dynamic, fast paced commercial environment with a proven track record in achieving targets;


  • Strong negotiating skills that employ the SPIN sales methodology; (practiced through the entire lifecycle of a sales opportunity/customer engagement)
  • Ability to confidently present to clients using the current technology such as Microsoft Teams
  • Capability of managing medium-large sized accounts in a defined region
  • Ability to manage time and prioritise accordingly especially in terms of optimising journey times
  • Experience of working under pressure to ‘hard’ deadlines;
  • Ability to communicate and report effectively and accurately to line manager using Salesforce e.g. pipeline, activity.
  • Ability to use and maintain effective administrative systems such as Salesforce, Office365
  • Excellent communication/presentation, software demonstration and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to work within cross-functional teams and remotely;
  • Maturity and ability to quickly build trust and credibility with clients;
  • Demonstrable experience dealing with decision makers at all levels, including C- level;
  • The ability to quickly pick up and learn product, market trends and drivers for change and make suggestions to gain a competitive advantage;
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi task/work on multiple major opportunities simultaneously
  • Ability to approach problems analytically and methodically
  • Attention to detail and follow-up;
  • Ability to be creative and good at idea generation;
  • Flexible and self-motivated with experience of working independently from home-based environment.
  • Current clean driving licence
