Job Description

Investment Capability Summary:

Invesco Municipal team manages over $60B in dedicated municipal strategies, making the team the 5th largest municipal bond manager globally. The team focuses on finding unique investment opportunities by combining experience-based knowledge with market trends to uncover and exploit relative value opportunities.

Job Purpose:

The Associate Product Manager is responsible for positioning a set of municipal investment strategies, researching product/competitive trends, and driving product management initiatives across retail and institutional channels. The Associate Product Manager works closely with the product manager/product director/CPM to support quarter-end and data updates as well as other key business functions.

This individual should understand investment markets and concepts and must be a credible resource from both an analytical and business perspective. Strong communication and organizational skills are core requirements for the position.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

The Associate Product Manager will be responsible for coverage of a set of investment strategies across retail and institutional channels:

Product & Investments Expertise

· The Associate Product Manager will provide support for municipal product initiatives including:

· Manage and support month- and quarter-end product collateral update process

· Assist in crafting marketing collateral and fund-specific presentations for sales team

· Analyze competitive landscape using such programs as Lipper, Morningstar, and eVestment

· Work closely with the team’s portfolio managers and CPMs to become deeply knowledgeable of each product.

· Research industry and product trends and compile and assess data (i.e. market share, asset growth, sales)

· Coordinate efforts between departments (i.e. portfolio, marketing, legal, finance)

Distribution & Marketing Support

· In partnership with the Client Portfolio Managers and investment team, develop a message for clients and prospects regarding the investment capabilities of the team’s various strategies. This includes playing a prominent role in creating and reviewing marketing and meeting materials, and providing regular communications, analysis and insights to our Sales team for use with clients.

· Develop and implement effective product marketing initiatives designed to build sales momentum and/or defend a critical investment

franchise.

· Assist Sales with custom proposals for significant business opportunities.

· Liaise with the firm’s various marketing and RFP teams to ensure all data and responses regarding a given product are accurate and appropriate.

· Assist with quarterly investment commentaries.

Skills / Personal Attributes Required:

· 2-5 years of related experience in financial services.

· Entrepreneurial spirit, with a focus on continuous improvement, willingness to take risks, embrace and lead change, determination to find creative solutions to problems. Strong work ethic and drive to succeed.

· Technical skills, including strong investment acumen, understanding of financial markets and economics, proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Office, Morningstar and other software products.

· Passion for the industry and capital markets is a must.

· Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Good people and interpersonal skills.

· May be expected to travel occasionally.

· Must be willing to be located in the New York City metro area

Formal Education:

· Undergraduate degree required

The salary range for this position in New York is $100,000 - $120,000 annually. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience, and location.
