Invesco Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is evolving its capabilities and is looking for new Team members. Enterprise Risk is a global Second Line of Defense function that engages with Invesco Business teams to facilitate delivery and oversight of the risk management framework and provide a consistent, aligned approach to risk management across the firm.

Your Role
As a member of Risk Advisory within Enterprise Risk Management, the Senior Analyst, coordinates, and supports in improving the efficiency of the second line of defense as well as improving the execution of the controls by the first line of defense.

You Will Be Responsible to:

  •  Assist in the development and implementation of the STS Technology and Security risk framework.

  • Collaborate with business units to gain a detailed understanding of each area, keep abreast of new technologies and innovative projects on the horizon to adequately provide risk oversight.

  • Conduct independent research to identify and detail emerging risks and work with business units to evaluate/assess/mitigate-these risks

  • Provide mentorship to business units concerning existing policies and standards; work with business units as needed to develop policies and standards.

  • Proactively respond to information risk related inquiries and requests from business units demonstrating:

  • A solid grasp of technology risk policy, procedures, and date

  • Sufficient knowledge of the Technology, Cyber Security, Data, Privacy and Business Resiliency while building areas of specific knowledge and expertise over time

  • Proficiency, knowledge, and willingness to engage with STS business units (Technology, Cyber Security, Data, Privacy and Business Resiliency) to provide risk related mentorship and insights (i.e., “risk advisory services”)

  • Identify, recommend and support risk related continuous improvement initiatives and participate in planning for future improvements.

The experience you Bring:  

  • 5+ years of risk & control experience with at least 2+ years of experience driving risk management across various line of defenses in a global banking/financial services environment/ operational risk advising FSI experience.

  • Will consider internal candidates who understand Invesco-related risk and work experience that supports their ability to build the risk organization with some level of support from others

  • Proven experience influencing across functional boundaries and/or globally

  • Experience with prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously under timelines and shifting priorities

  • Experience working directly with leadership as well as individual contributors at all levels, including executive level, both inside and outside of a company

  • Undergraduate degree and MBA or master’s degree in a relevant subject matter preferred

  • Certification in at least one of the following: FRM, CRISC, CISSP, CIPP, CISA, CPA, etc.
