Job Details

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician to join our team specializing in engine repairs for our Distribution Business (Minot, ND).

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

·       Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop

·       Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools

·       Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles

·       Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies

·       Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

·       Maintain own tools


In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:


·       Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

·       Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality


·       Completes complex internal engine repairs

·       Performs engine overhauls with limited direct supervision


·       Ability to troubleshoot with limited/no support from diagnostic tools

·       Larger more complicated engine rebuilds

·       Mentor junior technicians including technical support and documentation

Salary rate commensurate with experience. This position will require a Med-Card and we will also be required to complete a DMV driving report.  This position will be part of the PHMSA pool.  CANDIDATE MUST BE 21 YEARS OLD.


  • A current valid license is required for this role
  • This role requires a 5 year motor vehicle report, free from major violations
  • This role requires applicant to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical
  • 3 years driving experience
  • This role is subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use
  • Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older, applicant must be 21 years of age
  • This roll is subject to Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) drug testing pre-employment and random drug testing requirements. This roll will be subject to on-going random drug testing.

This position does not require a CDL but would be nice to have, a CDL may be required to obtain upon hire.
