Job Description ABOUT YOUR ROLE: Scope and general purpose of the role: As a Supply chain planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient supply chain process. You will work closely with cross functional teams to forecast demand, monitor inventory levels, and plan the timely delivery of products. Additionally you will communicate with suppliers and internal customers to ensure service delivery YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE: Demand & Supply Planning:
- Lead sales and operations (S&OP) process to forecast demand and plan supply
- Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels are maintained
- Driving down slow moving and obsolete inventory.
- Coordinating with suppliers and internal customers to ensure on-time delivery of products in terms of business SLA
- Manage vendors i.e. suppliers & freight forwarders
- Analyzing key performance indicators to identify areas of improvement
- Prepare for and lead weekly meetings with cross functional team to provide updates on demand and supply, inventory shortages and due dates
- Maintenance of master data, supply chain documentation and standard operating procedures
- Conduct costing analysis of product and freight
- Maintain quarterly vendor scorecard
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Ensure accurate completion and administration of all procurement documentation
- Maintain B-BBEE Procurement in collaboration with the Human Resource department.
- Manage the PO running for both Inventory & Non-Inventory items.
- Ensure adherence to best practice and ELS standards
- Sound knowledge and understanding of supply chain principles, freight and import models
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years experience within a Supply Chain environment
- Cross functional collaboration with all stakeholders (sales, customer service, operations, finance)
- Creating & managing demand forecasts and supply plans
- Multinational experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge and understanding of international and local freight
- Grade 12
- Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain/Logistics/Business management qualification essential
- PPIM/CPIM is advantageous
- Computer literacy – Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MFG Pro
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Detail oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
