Job Title: Consulting Sales Engineer, Security Juniper Networks is seeking a highly motivated network security expert to help accelerate sales in the Security business unit. This individual contributor will be responsible for presenting the Juniper security portfolio to prospective customers, creating and delivering demonstrations of the products and solutions, gathering technical requirements, assisting in evaluation test plans with strategic customers, enabling partners and the field teams, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve the product line and grow the security business. This position requires a broad and deep understanding of customer security needs and trends in campus, data center, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be able to understand, design, configure, and communicate complex routing concepts, Next Generation Firewall capabilities, virtualization and cloud architectures, central management and deployment, automation and orchestration, and integrations with 3rd party solutions, including identity, endpoint, OT, etc. This role offers and exciting opportunity to make a significant impact within a leading cybersecurity company. - Present and communicate at the C-level the Juniper Networks connected security value proposition
- Demonstrate Juniper security solutions in a way that grabs attention
- Drive internal and customer Proof of Concept (POC) labs and tests in collaboration with Account teams with successful outcomes
- Work with the field team to provide expertise and design consultation on strategic opportunities
- Enable partners and the field to qualify security deals and provide updates on product features to keep them up to date
- Work with Product Management, Technical Marketing, and Engineering to provide impactful feedback from customers and the field to improve Juniper’s security solutions
- 8+ years as a Sales Engineer in the network security space
- In-depth knowledge of security technologies and concepts, including (but not limited to) NGFW, IPS, APT, Ransomware, MITRE/ATT&CK, Killchain, EDR, NDR, SIEM, SOAR, DDOS, Remote Access, SASE, identity
- Experience selling, demonstrating, installing, and troubleshooting network infrastructure and Cloud security products
- Experience with L2-L4 networking: switching, IP routing, L4 Load Balancing, modern Campus and Data Center architecture (EVPN-VXLAN)
- Experience with private and public cloud architectures: virtualization, IaaS (AWS, Azure, GCP), private cloud (VMware, Openstack), containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift
- Self-motivated
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong organizational skills
- “Whatever it takes” attitude and strong motivation to win business
- Willing to travel 40%+
- Automation experience (python, Ansible, Terraform, APIs, etc.)
- Strong relationships with channel partners and an understanding of channel GTM
