Materials Planner Position

 

The Lead Materials Planner responsible for managing Juniper Networks Global Services Spare Parts Demand Planning requirements for a product/segment of the overall global plan. This also includes managing the team of Spare Parts planners that we have.

Some of the critical responsibilities for this role include:

· Manage the team in order to plan products/segments necessary to meet or beat customer On Time Delivery expectations while minimizing inventory costs

· Assist with accurate forecasting and planning of global spare parts, aligned with budgetary requirements, in order to meet contractual customer service obligations

· Work closely with global cross-functional teams to understand regional complexities and specific customer requirements for spare parts and adjust where necessary

· Closely manage planning and purchases to allocated budgets

· Proactively communicate part availability constraints to all of CSS ensuring timely awareness

· Work closely with Repair Operations to understand Throughput and Ramp-up capabilities and impact of Asset Recovery rates and Returned Material on Repair Operations capabilities, in order to make educated buy vs repair decisions

· Understand all elements that impact timely critical parts availability, such as Import/Export (IOR/EOR) delays, Depot and FSL geographical locations for parts transfers, 3PL Limitations, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS

· Expert in MS Excel with the ability to create pivots and charts

· Previous experience and knowledge of SAP for Enterprise Resource Planning and Servigistics is preferred (ECC & CRM)

· Aftermarket knowledge and relevant experience in Service Part Planning

· Strong teamwork required. Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities

· Strong propensity for spreadsheets, databases, systems, and processes and analytical mindset

· Curious personality with a desire to understand “how things work” and “how things are related” with the goal of improving and streamlining current methods and processes

· Networking or high-tech industry experience required. Knowledge of Networking products and technologies is required

· Ability to communicate effectively with customers, cross-functional teams and executive management

· Ability to work effectively in a changing, rapidly growing environment

· Minimum 2 years of planning experience with master’s degree or 4 years of experience with bachelor’s degree in business, MIS or 8 years planning experience in the Networking environment
