  • Wir bieten für das WS 2024/25 eine Masterarbeit zum Thema „Interactive Guidance for Navigated Spinal Surgery“ an.
  • Du hast die Möglichkeit, Prototypen für unser chirurgisches Navigationssystem zu entwickeln und unser Team mit Deiner Proof-of-Concept Applikation zu unterstützen.
  • Du bist ein aktives Mitglied in unserem internationalen und interdisziplinären Research & Development Team.
  • Du wirst zu unserem modernen Navigations- und Bildgebungssystem beitragen, indem Du Lösungen mit C++, Python und/oder Matlab implementierst.
  • Du lernst dabei unter anderem neueste Technologien aus den Bereichen maschinelles Lernen, geometrische Algorithmen, Wissensrepräsentation und Informationsabruf kennen und anwenden.
  • Du wirst eigenständige Forschung im Bereich der Chirurgie betreiben und herausfinden, wie innovative Ideen auf wertschöpfende Weise angewendet werden können.
Das zeichnet Dich aus
  • Du studierst Informatik, Medizintechnik oder einen vergleichbaren Studiengang im Master.
  • Du hast Erfahrung mit objektorientierten Programmiersprachen und Bibliotheken/Frameworks wie Qt, OpenCV, Unity oder VTK gesammelt.
  • Du besitzt ein gutes mathematisches Verständnis.
  • Du möchtest dich mit anspruchsvollen Aufgaben im Bereich der Medizintechnik auseinandersetzen.
  • Du bist unter Freunden und Studienkollegen für Eigeninitiative und Flexibilität bekannt.
  • Du verfügst über gute Englischkenntnisse.
  • Eine eigenständige Arbeitsweise, ein hohes Maß an Motivation und Engagement sowie die Bereitschaft schnell Verantwortung zu übernehmen zeichnen Dich aus.

  • We offer a master thesis on the topic "Knowledge Extraction for Navigated Spinal Surgery" for Winter Semester 2024/25.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop prototypes for our surgical navigation system and support our team with your proof-of-concept application.
  • You are an active member of our international and interdisciplinary Research & Development team.
  • You will contribute to our state-of-the-art navigation and imaging system by using C++, Python and/or Matlab and implementing your solutions.
  • Further, you will get to know and apply the latest technologies from the fields of machine learning, geometric algorithms, knowledge representation, and information retrieval.
  • You will independently conduct research in the field of surgery and find out how innovative ideas can be applied in a value-adding way.
What makes you stand out
  • You are studying computer science, medical technology or a comparable course in your master's degree.
  • You have gained experience with object-oriented programming languages and libraries/frameworks such as Qt, OpenCV, or VTK.
  • You have a good understanding of mathematics.
  • You want to deal with challenging tasks in the field of medical technology.
  • You are known among friends and fellow students for being proactive and flexible.
  • You have a good command of English.
  • An independent way of working, a high level of motivation and commitment as well as the willingness to quickly take on responsibility characterize you.
  • The work deals with current development topics, so a confidentiality note is necessary.
