Overview A Sales Engineer (SE) is an outstanding individual who combines the communications skills to build strong professional relationships with the technical skills to develop compelling network solutions that accomplish our customers’ business imperatives. The SE partners with an Account Manager (AM) to drive revenue growth for Juniper by delivering business success to our customers.   Daily activities include direct customer engagement: comprehensive discovery, information sharing and collaborative solution design; proposal development; solution demonstrations; proof-of-concept test design and execution. SE’s also work collaboratively within Juniper to highlight emerging customer requirements and use cases, convey the competitive landscape, and coordinate with the Juniper professional services organization to ensure implementations meet or exceed customer expectations. Remote candidates will also be considered. Responsibilities may also be spread across a range of other Service Providers as needed. Position requires approximately 25% travel.   Experience
  • 10+ years technical/pre-sales experience preferred (less will be considered)
  • Strong hands-on experience with Juniper solutions or relevant experience in key competitor offerings in service provider technologies and solutions
  • Deep understanding of IP/MPLS/Segment Routing/EVPN core, edge, peering, broadband, metro ethernet networks and automation
  • Experience designing/engineering LAN/WAN, Campus, Data Center, and Security solutions
  • Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent desired
  Required Skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop meaningful and impactful professional relationships
  • Routing protocols: IGPs, EGPs, Segment Routing, Traffic Engineering, VPNs
  • Security concepts: firewalls, MACSec, IPSec, DDOS detection and mitigation
  • Broadband subscriber-based services: BNG, DHCP, PPPoE
  • Metro Ethernet: MEF concepts
  • Automation: scripting, Python, Ansible, REST API, Netconf
  Desirable Skills
  • AI, ML, Intent-Based Networking
  • Virtualization, containers, microservices
  • Data center network design (spine-leaf, EVPN/VXLAN, Clos architectures, fabric management)
  • JNCIE, CCIE, RHCE, or other expert-level industry certification is desired

    Minimum Salary: $181,632.00 Maximum Salary:$261,096.00 The pay range for this position is expected to be between $181,632.00 and $261,096.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
