Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships, influence and partner with business leaders in multiple functional areas This is a hybrid role requiring you to be on-site 3 days a week and have the flexibility to work from home the other days. What you will do- As the Plant Controller you will work closely with the Operations Director to manage the financial result for the plant. In this role you will oversee the preparation of the monthly management accounts for the facility within the timelines set out and provide financial commentary on the same. You will also manage the local accounting team including recruitment, training and development and performance management. Additional responsibilities:
- Provide financial advice and support to the team leaders within the facility.
- Provide weekly financial updates to the Site Operations Director, and the Director Finance of Stryker.
- Provide financial inputs at the monthly business unit reviews.
- Be responsible for the preparation of the facility annual budget, setting of the annual standard costs and preparation of the annual strategic plan for the facility.
- Be responsible for the preparation of the facility financial outlooks throughout the year and provide the Operations Director and the Director Finance with a financial commentary on the associated risks and opportunities.
- Ensure that adequate internal financial controls exist and are adhered to within the facility.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent discipline required
- 10+ years' experience required
- Experience in a Finance position supporting a high performance manufacturing operation highly preferred
- Experience leading and managing teams highly preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to act as a liaison between Finance and Manufacturing preferred
- Strong business acumen with the ability to work cross functionally in a complex matrix organization preferred
