Keeping the customer and requirements squarely in focus, people who deliver safe and robust solutions What you will do - As a member of the Engineering Services Team in our Digital, Robotics and Enabling Technology (DRE) division, you will be responsible for technical functions in support of engineering activities such as design, test, documentation, electro-mechanical assembly of fixtures, and assembly of prototypes. This role will also be responsible for maintaining all V&V labs and equipment and the maintenance of all Robotic systems and equipment. Technical Responsibilities:
  • Research and Development lab management.  This will include maintenance of all tools, instruments and equipment and ensuring compliance and timely preventive maintenance measures.
  • Maintenance of all Robotic systems for R&D department.  Additional duties will include:
  • Under little to no supervision, schedule, design and perform unique experiments as requested. Evaluate and confirm test data accuracy and generate formal verbal and/or written reports on the findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Extract and process data/findings into formal written and verbal reports which comply with FDA requirements.
General Responsibilities:
  • Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success and contribute to projects as a team member.
  • Learn procedures, policies, processes, systems, and technology required.
  • Work on problems in limited scope; purposefully learn while gaining experience.
  • Design, develop, modify, evaluate, and verify software components for medical devices.
  • In code reviews apply design principles, coding standards, and best practices.
  • Demonstrate ownership and integrity of work.
  • Build stable relationships.
  • Participate in code reviews applying design principles, coding standards, and best practices.
What you need -
  • Experience with Metrology equipment; CMM, Articulate Arm, Laser scanners and trackers, Tensile/compression and fatigue Testers
  • Experience in tool release
  • Experience in working with equipment suppliers
  • Electro-mechanical background, ability to innovate, design and assemble test fixture.
  • Hands on experience with Machine shop tools: Lathe, Milling machine, CNC, etc.
  • 6S understanding
  • EHS requirements understanding
  • Electrical and mechanical assembly troubleshooting
  • Word, Excel, Power Point and basic computer knowledge
  • Validation and Verification experience
  • Basic probability knowledge
