  What you will do:  As an Install & Service Design Engineer you will be responsible for translating service needs into design requirements to ensure existing and new products are installable, serviceable and supportable.   
  • Provide installation, service and supportability design requirements (DUNs, DIs, SRS) for Sustainment (End of Life, Improvements, Supply) and New Product Design (NPD) releases.
  • Coordinate with & lead diverse stakeholders to gain consensus and ensure serviceability requirements meet the needs of the commercial operations organization (ease of installation, serviceability and supportability)
  • Lead, coordinate and/or participate in design for Usability, Reliability, Specialized Regulations (AHCA, OSHPD, NEC Standards, NFPA-99) and Performance needs
  • Propose and design requirements with a broad lens taking into consideration legacy systems which are multi-faceted and complex products within an Integrated Operating room
  • Create and update technical, process, training documentation, including Serviceability, Pre-Installation, Manufacturing Assembly Procedures, Service Manual
  • Create install and service product pricing within sales quoting tool
  • Perform install testing and validation to ensure products meet design, process, and service requirements
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve post installation Quality Inspection Procedures to ensure the quality of the products during installation process.
  • Provide technical escalation support for all project phases, including HyperCare and post market support. Support non-conformances from initiation to closure, ensuring product, process, documentation and/or training is updated to resolve.   
  What you need Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, project management or related discipline
  • 4+ years of installation, product support, product design, design control, or related experience
  Preferred
  • Experience in medical device or highly regulated industry
