Product Design at GoTo

The Design System Manager has a systems-mindset which enables them to build and integrate consistent and accessible components across the product portfolio. The Design Manager will focus on the entire design system's lifecycle, from establishing practice and vision for the system, to building, documenting, and maintaining a library which will be used by many product teams. 

Your Day to Day 

As Design System Manager, you will be working on: 

• Manage design system from a visual and UX perspective 

• Build interactive prototypes with the teams (design & code) 

• Update legacy Figma components in the UI Kit as well as review community design contributions 

• Drive the design conversations as well as advocate for the design system with the larger product and technology community 

• Build and sustain vibrant design system and Accessibility Champions Communities to maintain an engaged level of interaction and advocacy across GoTo. 

• Work with the design system development lead to ensure consistent progress is made each sprint and to communicate with key stakeholders 

• Foster a healthy collaborative relationship between design and engineering 

• Conduct reviews with the extended Product & Technology Group UX team to identify areas for improvement, successes, and future desires 

What We’re Looking For 

As Design System Manager, your background will look like: 

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience managing teams in a lean, agile, and user-centric environment. 

• Proven methods and record of success leading consumer level products with small to medium business focus. 

• Track record of building, leading or advocating as a strong contributor to a company wide design system. 

• Experience in a SaaS environment. 

• Ability to define, develop, and innovate new processes and policies to promote efficiency and productivity. 

• Demonstrated success in creating a collaborative culture of design, engineering, and product.
