    Global Business Development Team @ Autodesk 

    The Global Business Development team is a dynamic and strategic team within the Autodesk worldwide sales organization, focused on fueling growth with our largest, enterprise customers and scaling growth within the ecosystems of our customers. This team is driving demand for Autodesk solutions in the marketplace through actionable industry thought leadership and strategic development programs that make our technology a unique fit for industry challenges. 

    Position Overview 

    The Business Development Executive (BDE) is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly works with large customers who are owners of mission-critical assets (like factories, plants or datacenters) and their ecosystem consisting of engineering services and equipment / subsystem providers, subcontractors, trade associations and their supply chain. 

     

    The work of a BDE falls into two broad categories, "fueling growth" with our largest named accounts through industry expertise and "scaling growth" through business programs across industry sectors. You will influence the decision makers at our largest clients and with the owners of projects to put Autodesk in the middle of our customers' supply chains, positively affecting named accounts, mid-market, and territory clients. 

     

    You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Business Development D&M & Automotive. The position is remote anywhere in the United States. 

     

    Responsibilities 

    • Develop new growth opportunities for Autodesk in the Datacenter market by engaging with owners, their supply chains and the wider ecosystem 
    • Establish lighthouse referenceable projects delivered using Autodesk Platform 
    • Engage & Build relationships with our most strategic and influential customers to build relationships, credibility and influence senior customer decision makers, usually within the C-Suite 
    • Translate customer business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities into unique value for Autodesk 
    • Influence customers' business initiatives and decision-makers through industry expertise 
    • Perform as the trusted advisor on "Digital Transformation" of datacenter lifecycle and represent Autodesk in industry associations, events, and conferences 
    • Assist Autodesk customer teams in achieving growth and revenue targets with our customers, work with sales and technical sales teams, Autodesk Consulting and customer success managers on identifying and qualifying opportunities 
    • Responsibility for developing repeatable plays and insights to the Named Account and Territory sales teams 
    • Represent Autodesk in industry events and trade associations and be the voice of customer and industry internally at Autodesk by providing valuable information for mid and long-term strategy 

     

    Minimum Qualifications 

    • 10+ years' experience working in capital projects delivery of mission-critical built assets (of which at least 5 in datacenter)  
    • Excellent understanding of the facility lifecycle from design to operations and that of technology trends in the AECO industry 
    • Knowledge of typical customer pain points & technology solutions in the industry  
    • Experienced in developing, deploying & presenting digital transformation plans & business case 
    • Experienced in establishing relationship with prospects at multiple levels of a client organization, including C level

    Salary transparency

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $148,200 and $239,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
