About the Role
As Morgan Stanley Tokyo Financial Institutions Group (FIG) has been expanding its transaction capabilities and client universe, we are currently searching for multiple candidates to strengthen the team with expertise in FIG space, and/or have experience in Investment Banking industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and managing in the execution of corporate finance transactions (including M&A, strategic advisory, IPO, Debt/Equity offerings)
- Working closely with senior bankers in FIG team who covers Insurance / Bank / Non-bank / FinTech / CreditTech companies
- Performing financial analysis, strategic business analysis and detailed industry research, and providing rapid and accurate judgments to colleagues and clients
- Preparing and delivering client presentations in a clear and compelling manner, and contributing to team discussions and client meetings
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- Experience at investment banking and/or relevant advisory firm is considered. (at least 2 years and up to 10 years)
- Experience at a Bulge Bracket investment bank is a plus. (at least 2 years)
- Knowledge of basic accounting and corporate finance concepts; ability to analyze and value businesses
- Understanding or experience in Insurance / Bank / Non-bank / FinTech companies. Having senior relationship with such companies is a plus
- High level of analytical and modelling skills; committed to delivery of highest quality work product --- attention to detail
- Solid work ethic; demonstrated commitment to excellence as well as ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- A positive, highly motivated individual who exhibits strong leadership and management qualities
- Proactive; self-motivated and goal oriented with first class organizational skills
- Passionate team player able to work effectively in a team environment; excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Strong understanding of professional ethics and regulatory environment, and demonstrate best in class professional integrity
- A solid academic background including a bachelor’s degree. An MBA or equivalent is helpful
- Native level in Japanese, and business level of English
