The Internal Sales Department engages with financial professionals to deliver a Total Client Experience in becoming an indispensable partner. To accomplish this, we leverage a differentiated consultative experience with our clients through Business Consulting, Portfolio Consulting, and Client Engagement. We Learn, Grow and Succeed together.
Your role:
The Internal Market Consultant, in partnership with a Market Leader, will be responsible for both managing long-standing trusted partnerships with existing intermediary clients and developing new relationships with prospective clients that maximize our wallet share and enhance long-term holdings of Invesco products and services. Serving in a critical function on our Internal Sales Desk, this role will be the voice of Invesco to clients; an integral part of furthering the client journey and attaining both revenue and profitability goals.
You will be responsible for:
- Proactively developing and maintaining diverse and strong client relationships, which showcase and differentiate our products, to grow our client base and enhance our wallet share.
- Conducting outbound sales calls with financial advisors and other licensed professionals to promote and sell our products, communicate firm updates, build relationships, and provide ongoing client support.
- Crafting personalized digital communications, including thought leadership content, practice management, and capital market insights.
- Working closely with an Internal Sales Manager and Market Leader/Market Consultant to develop and implement a strategic territory sales plan to deepen and broaden client relationships, elevate client loyalty, grow sales, and identify new opportunities for our suite of products.
- Assisting Market Leaders with our “team of teams” strategy by determining and coordinating which specialist teams to include in client engagements across our segmented client base.
- Applying portfolio analytical tools to identify products and services to clients regarding portfolio optimization.
- Consulting and delivering on our Total Client Experience (Total CX) platform by partnering with financial professionals to Connect with their Clients, Enhance their Business, and Optimize their Portfolios.
- Utilizing data to locate and prioritize prospective clients while supervising progress for goals regarding sales.
- Performing daily activities to lead the territory effectively using a firm ranking system and stratification of the service model, which aids in addressing the complexities of the territory.
- Assisting clients across diverse levels of technical expertise to navigate the sophisticated investment world by providing them with portfolio building and fund selection guidance.
- Delivering a high-quality client experience that supports sales and client relationships by providing research and administrative assistance.
- Actively and accurately documenting all client interactions into the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure the integrity of our data, as well as deepen expertise within the system.
- Engaging in a comprehensive training curriculum that improves competencies in business administration, consultancy and development, leadership and influence, investment discipline communication, technical comprehension, and product and industry knowledge.
- Traveling as needed within territory to conduct meetings with clients, assist with client events, and attend industry conferences.
The experience you bring:
- 2-5 years of sales experience in financial services preferred
- College degree or equivalent experience required (MBA, CFA, CFP, & CIMA a plus)
- FINRA Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 required for role
- A current understanding (or strong desire to learn) of capital markets, mutual funds, ETFs, other investment solutions, and impact of economic factors
- Strong work ethic, high integrity, and strong values
- Motivated to achieve success and grow with the firm
- Consultative, client first approach, delivering solutions, not products, to meet needs and get results
- Excellent listening skills with a natural inclination to focus on client needs coupled with strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- A growth mindset with a business-owner mentality, which is naturally drawn to opportunities, innovation, new value creation, and looks to continuously improve own capabilities
