    Position Overview

    At Autodesk, we are reinventing how everything you see or touch is imagined, designed and created. In ACS, we are reinventing how every building, bridge, hospital, campus and stadium is built. Our web and mobile applications bring 3D collaboration solutions to the construction industry. They bring real-time predictive insights and analytics to our customers, helping them better plan, execute and mitigate risk building their multi-million dollar projects. We do this by building, implementing and applying machine learning, data science and real-time data engineering to the Big Data generated by the Autodesk ecosystem.     Responsibilities

    • Build complex, scalable web services and infrastructure that supports them
    • Develop new features, with tests, that can support our growing user base
    • Evaluate current software architecture and implement enhancements as required
    • Help evolve and maintain existing code bases, with attention for high-quality coding standards and best practices
    • Build and scale automated testing infrastructure to support Quality Assurance
    • Cross-team collaboration and coordination to ensure reliable, secure, available and scalable releases
    • Mentor other engineers, engage in team discussions, and review code

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Curiosity about how things work
    • Self-motivated, autonomous, empathetic and great communication skills
    • Ability to participate in technical architecture discussions and drive technical decisions
    • Ability and desire to jump in to fix things and to make things better
    • Experience writing production code in one of the modern programming languages
    • Experience with building web APIs (RESTful, json:api)
    • Experience with data architecture and data modeling
    • Experience with AWS RDS, PostgreSQL, MySQL and NoSQL databases

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with JavaScript and NodeJS ecosystem
    • Experience with Express, or similar web servers
    • Experience with queueing/messaging systems, or background job processors
    • Experience scaling and optimizing schemas, performance tuning SQL and data pipelines
    • Experience with Docker and Docker Compose
    • Experience with AWS, Jenkins and CI/CD practices
    • Experience with Terraform

    Salary transparency

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
