Position Summary:

The National Account Manager is responsible for selling Milo’s products at Headquarters level in all channels by developing and executing plans that gain new customers, build customer relationships, and develop business with existing customers.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Passionately promote the Company, brands and products to existing and potential customers. Analyze sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply, demand, trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

  • Utilize syndicated data to identify opportunities to increase sales, shelf space and develop an action plan to heighten brand awareness, improve market/product positioning and customer penetration.

  • Travel as needed throughout assigned area.

  • Communicate competitors’ activities and market trends.

  • Acquire thorough understanding of key customers’ needs and requirements.

  • Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify challenges and growth opportunities for the brand.

  • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.

  • Develop a plan for each account and communicate to retail sales for execution. Assist in developing business plans and sales presentations to share with existing and potential customers leading to improved product availability, increased shelf space/displays and sales growth.

  • Collaborate with Senior Directors of HQ Sales to develop and manage channel/partner strategies programs and programs. Collaborate with Sales Leadership to develop and manage channel/partner strategies. Forecast, budget and track account volume.

  • Prepare monthly expense reports and submit appropriate documentation on a timely basis.

  • Achieve performance excellence by self-imposed high standards; accomplish tasks through own initiative. Communicate routinely to ensure the Field Sales Team is current on retailer trends, promotions, and opportunities in his/her territory.

  • Attend Food Shows and other trade events to create, maintain and develop customer relations. Uphold and participate in all Corporate Responsibility programming including recycling, social advocacy and MMAD volunteering opportunities.

  • Invest in and is an example of Milo’s Responsibility commitment which includes environmental, social, and corporate governance components.

  • Perform other duties as necessary or as requested.
