Job DescriptionThe Product Strategy Group within ETFs & Indexed Strategies is committed to providing superior client support while driving our product line strategic agenda for growth. This individual will be responsible for supporting their segment of the product suite serving as a product line subject matter expert and developing relevant product and ETF market insights. The Analyst will work cross-functionally with Product Development, Portfolio Management, Capital Markets, Sales and Marketing to position and grow the product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Be an internal expert on your ETFs and asset classes - maintain an in-depth understanding of all elements of the product line
- Develop strong knowledge of index methodologies and underlying strategies
- Recommend and help execute on actions needed to maintain and improve our product line, including new product development
- Work with ETF Strategists to develop relevant product insights and build competitive product positioning
- Work with ETF Strategists to create and update product related research and content which includes marketing collateral, product commentary and pitchbooks
- Partner closely with ETF strategists and specialists to support our clients and ensure product integrity
- Responsible for various projects as assigned by team leaders
Experience / Knowledge:
- 5 years of investment management and/or research experience preferred
- Previous experience or solid understanding of fixed-income investing strongly preferred
- ETF and index familiarity and industry experience required
- Experience with Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct, FactSet a plus
Skills / Other Personal Attributes Required:
- Strong written communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills; must be able to establish and maintain effective, cooperative working relationships with all departments and organizational levels
- Self-directed; must be comfortable with establishing objectives, then working independently to achieve them, seeking manager’s input as needed
- Ability to travel on occasion
Formal Education:
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance or related discipline required
- Completion or progress towards MBA, advanced degree in a quantitative field, or CFA preferred
License/Registration/Certification:
- Series 7 & 63
The salary range for this position in New York City is $115,000 - $125,000 / year. The total compensation offered for this position includes salary and incentive pay and will vary based on skills, experience and location.
