In this position, you will provide project leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success and support its development and growth into new domains by working closely with industry experts throughout the company.
This team supports the Federal Health and Public Safety clients. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate Consultants and Project Managers to deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world. You will be part of a team that influences lasting contributions for communities with the web and mobile applications you create.
The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.
Responsibilities- Enabling customer success and maintain and expand Esri footprints through project execution
- Manage complex technology projects and programs
- Acting as the liaison between Professional Services and our customers in the execution of project requirements
- Directing project teams that consist of platform configuration specialists, system engineers, architects, and consultants dedicated to supporting customers and their mission critical systems and applications
- Recommend relevant strategies, architectures, and solutions and work with customers to prepare implementation and migration strategies
- Collaborate with Esri's practice managers and marketing and sales teams to develop new business and be part of actively shaping the future through your work on cutting-edge projects and technology trends
- 8+ years of experience in a similar position, supporting similar responsibilities
- Professional experience leading and managing IT based projects
- Demonstrate ability to evaluate and translate customer's business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Federal Government, Military, and Public Safety industry
- Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas, whether to other technical peers or non-technical project managers or customers
- Professional experience supporting the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise geospatial technology (ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and/or ArcGIS Platform)
- Applicants selected will be subjected to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. This could include a Top-Secret Clearance (TS) or Public Trust Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, or related field
- GIS Project Management is a plus
- Knowledge of and experience with software engineering and/or robust application principles and practices
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
- Willingness and ability to occasionally travel for projects assignments
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Master's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, or related field
