Job Description

Your Responsibilities  

  •  Support in preparation of the Assets under management, expenses, revenue, and sales reports for the multiple FP&A teams.
  • Analyze, interpret, and explain variances of Actuals data with Budget, Forecast and prior period data arising in the daily/monthly/quarterly reports.
  • Update the monthly reports with ongoing amendments.
  • Review/ quality check on all the reports prior to sending out for final review.
  • Understand any limitations & communicate expected delay in the set timelines to counterparts.
  • Meeting process SLAs on consistent basis.
  • Reviewing the reports done by the junior team members.
  •  Prepare SOP and ensure the changes are updated regularly.
  • Capable enough to handle other subprocesses and be able to work on urgent ad-hoc requests.
  • Ensures all team Members are trained on new procedures.
  • Should be capable enough to take care of all the onsite and offshore queries and be able to resolve it independently.
  •  Able to identify and place controls in place to capture any discrepancies in the reports.
  • Participate in Continuous improvements projects under the direction of managers and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies at work.

Your Competencies  

Knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); understanding of internal control elements; strong problem solving and analytical skills; good interpersonal skills; ability to manage team members and deliverables; good written and oral communication skills; highly organized; ability to meet strict deadlines; ability to interview, hire, and train employees; excellent customer service skills; ability to plan, assign, and direct work; ability to multi-task 

4 to 6 years of accounting experience, specifically in the Financial Planning & Analysis process; Experience with accounting and financial systems, preferably Oracle; Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis process improvement and application systems implementation; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite 

Attributes 

  •  Good analytical and critical thinking skills, Ability to slice, dice and analyse data in multiple dimensional view
  • Ability to analyse financials leveraging tools/capabilities like Alteryx etc. and Data visualization tools like Tableau and/or Power BI
  • Structured, disciplined approach to work with attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and flexible to deliver amid uncertainty (e.g., imperfect data, loosely defined concepts, changing priorities)  
  • Multi-tasker and self-motivated; capable of working under limited or no supervision 
  • Positive and constructive team player with good communication (verbal/written) and interpersonal skills  
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple changing priorities along with day-to-day responsibilities   
  • Sound analytical and reporting skills, ability to understand complicated topics, apply critical thinking and judgement
  • Keenness and aptitude to learn, upskill and mentor in the respective technical domain
  • Able to work in a global, multicultural environment

Education & Certifications  

Postgraduate in Finance / MBA Finance from Tier 2 colleges preferred. FPA certified / Fintech education will be an added advantage

Shift Timings 

Work hours will be from 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM IST (01:30 PM to 10:30PM IST) and may include late hours and/or weekend support – during close.
