The SoftwareOne AWS Sales Development Representative is part of the Business Development Executives (BDE) team. The BDE team functions as solutioning experts against customer problems/business needs.
The BDE team also has a role of a hunter, focusing on new business with both new and existing customers. They enthusiastically seek out, develop and land brand new opportunities for defined portfolio elements, close new logos, and then entrust them with an Account Manager (AM) who will continue to manage that relationship so they (the BDE) can conquer the next new opportunity. For existing customers, the Sales cycle is started by the Account Management. Although new customers must be hunted by the BDE, BDE’s always work in a team with the AM.
Responsibilities:
As a Sales Development Representative at SoftwareOne, your primary role will involve proactively engaging in outbound prospecting to generate appointments, effectively qualifying and marketing our AWS solutions to potential customers. You will collaborate closely with our marketing and sales teams, contributing to the discovery and scheduling of appointments and creation of opportunities. Your responsibilities include applying strong selling and influencing skills to secure qualified appointments, providing high-level introductions to AWS cloud services and partner packaged offerings, and employing proven sales techniques to influence customer interactions. Additionally, you will be responsible for logging, tracking, and maintaining outbound activity, creating and ensuring opportunities are progressing with the SoftwareOne and AWS Sales team, as well as participating in sales meetings, vendor training sessions, and local trade shows to enhance your understanding of the data technology landscape. You will have the opportunity to work closely with our sales and technical teams as well as the AWS team as a part of a special AWS regional program focused on driving customer success at scale.
