The role will be part of Data Governance team under Enterprise Data & Analytics Office (EDAO). The team develops and enforces policies & standards for data governance, quality & risk; provides quality assurance and data management services; performs regulatory reporting and data lifecycle management
Your Role
As a Data Governance Analyst, you will assist with tasks related to the Data Governance tools, design and optimize governance processes, and support data quality and metadata management assurance for key projects.
You Will Be Responsible For:
Using data governance and data quality tools to profile the data, cleanse and accurately check the data, and provide exception management capabilities to business using Informatica data quality (IDQ).
Working closely with data owners, stewards, ETL developers, and business analysts to identify critical data elements, document data quality rules, and support the build-out of the rules.
Partnering with data stewards and business teams to provide summary results of data quality analysis, which will be used to make decisions regarding how to measure business rules and quality of the data.
Developing a strong understanding of end-to-end investment management business processes, the required data to support these processes, and the data quality issues that may impact the business on an on-going basis .
Helping to compile management reporting dashboards of data quality metrics for the organization using reporting tools like Power B.I and others.
Analyzing potential process gaps and drive improvements. Streamline process and automate mundane work.
Providing guidance and training to other Invesco staff in how to access and make use of the information held within Data Governance tools.
The Experience You Bring:
MBA in Finance or other degrees in Finance.
1 to 3 years of experience in Asset Management / Capital Markets / Investment Operations.
Experience with metadata tools – Axon, EDC, Collibra etc.,
Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders globally
Beginner SQL and data analysis skills
Talent for quickly learning new tasks and tools
Attention to detail and active listening
Documentation skills - excel skills are good to have
