Location

This is a remote/hybrid position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada. Please note if you are located in Ottawa, Canada we work a hybrid schedule where you will be expected to be in office 3 days per week.

 

About the team

The Senior HR Services Associate is recognized as a subject matter expert and is an experienced member of the Global HR Services HUB team. Our Global HR Services Hub team acts as the central point of contact for all employee life cycle operations, provides exceptional support to employees and managers, and delivers employee and manager self-service to improve the employee experience to a global employee base. The Senior HR Services Associate (SHRA) will play a crucial role as the primary lead in managing and optimizing employee life cycle activities, ensuring smooth processes for onboarding, HR transactions, and offboarding. The SHRA will also provide support to help our team deliver exceptional support to employee and managers via ServiceNow.

What you will do
  • Lead the end to end onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for new hires. The role will focus on continuous improvement, working to simplify and enhance the onboarding process in collaboration with HR coordinators. Additionally, the SHRA will be responsible for building a scalable onboarding framework that can grow with the organization.
  • Oversee the HR transactions portfolio, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes managed within SuccessFactors. They will champion the transition to manager self-service, empowering managers to handle specific transactions independently. By guiding HR Coordinators and focusing on process improvement, the SHRA will develop scalable, automated solutions that minimize manual work and enhance overall transaction efficiency.
  • Lead the offboarding process, ensuring all exits are handled efficiently and with professionalism. The SHRA will work closely with HR coordinators to streamline the offboarding process to develop and implement efficient processes that reduce manual work.
  • Play a crucial role in supporting the team by managing and resolving complex Tier 2 cases within ServiceNow. Additionally, the role will provide in-depth guidance and support to Tier 1 HUB team and may also directly assist employees and managers when Tier 1 is unable to resolve an issue.
  • Lead and support special projects and initiatives related to process improvements, employee and manager self-service, and/or technology implementations as needed.
  • Work in close collaboration and partnership with internal knowledge experts to administer, research, and coordinate a pipeline of HR policies that need to be developed, streamlined, administered, and updated that range across multiple teams (HUB, ER, Benefits etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in HR processes and service delivery, leveraging data and feedback to implement effective solutions.
  • Support regional HR team members to enhance and develop the HR Services procedures, policies, and processes, while creating global standards.
  • Support the advancement of ServiceNow for HR, driving the expansion of employee and manager self service capabilities and optimizing the platform to make it more user-friendly and efficient and ensuring it aligns with the Kinaxis’ evolving needs.
  • Support in delivering exceptional support to employees and managers via case management and optimization and a continued focus on enhancing the effectiveness of our HR content.
What we are looking for
  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, business (or related field)
  • Minimum of 6 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee life cycle activities, including hands-on experience with SuccessFactors or similar HR systems.
  • Intermediate to advanced skill level in MS Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience managing projects within HR
  • Experience working with ServiceNow or a similar HR case/ticketing solution
  • A clear, concise, and professional communicator with the ability to present complex information to various audiences and demonstrate knowledge within direct and indirect team.
  • Highly adaptable and able to pivot based on prioritization and needs of the business; proactively solicits feedback to ensure alignment.
  • Bring a continuous improvement mindset to further evolve processes and procedures.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to coordinate input from multiple sources to develop impactful recommendations to achieve results for the business.
  • A results-driven professional with a commitment to delivering high-quality HR services that align with business objectives and enhance the overall employee experience.
  • Proactive and consistent to take initiative in seeking opportunities to learn and develop from industry experts, internal partners, and senior team members.
  • This position operates in a global workplace with a variety of cultures and multiple time zones. The incumbent demonstrates confidence and the ability to take initiative working independently, while keeping others informed of their progress.
