What we are we looking for:  

The purpose of this role is oversight and coordination of business development and client relationship management of clients across Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including responsibility for all key channels in that market. The role acts as the manager for the country sales heads in the respective DACH countries and will be a member of the EMEA Distribution Leadership team, collaborating and cooperating with other EMEA distribution leaders, and fostering a culture of strong region-wide cooperation in the DACH country sales heads

The Head of DACH Distribution will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing creation and delivery of the sales plan in the DACH sub-region across all channels or segments, leveraging the country heads of sales

  • Team management of country heads of sales in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Ensure the country heads of sales in the DACH sub-region create a robust pipeline of sales opportunities (in Salesforce CRM system) and activity to deliver to the overall sales ambition

  • Providing managerial oversight to Head of Client Service DACH, including supporting the client service functions shift towards more regional cooperation and coordination (which is lead by the Head of Client Service Platform EMEA).

  • Ensuring effective coverage of key segments (financial advisers, banks and wealth managers, insurers, sovereigns, pensions and treasury) and supporting the region-wide client segment leads deliver segment plans

  • The organisation and coordination of the country heads in the DACH sub-region to identify and develop new business opportunities, as well as new client acquisition in the DACH sub-region. Focus on growing regional key accounts and Tier 1 clients with support in DACH sub-region

  • Working closely with marketing and thought leadership in order to organize client events, seminars and further strengthen Invesco’s presence in the market

  • Coordinate the DACH subregions interactions with product and investment teams to ensure the right capabilities are available in the right product wrappers to effectively capture the market opportunity in DACH

  • Work closely with the COO Distribution teams to ensure a clear strategy for the DACH distribution activities that is aligned to the EMEA strategy and ensuring we leverage our enablers within the DACH market (i.e. Distribution Strategy, CRM, Digital Sales, Investment Analysis, MPS, etc.)

  • The coordination and monitoring of budgets for the market and ensure the distribution activities in DACH are carried out in line with budgets.

  • The culture and conduct of the distribution team and alignment with Invesco’s values and purpose

  • The firm’s regulatory obligations related to distribution in DACH (e.g. conduct risk, training etc.)

   

What you can bring:  

  • Solid proven sales experience in the asset management industry with a proven track record leading and developing a business

  • Previous experience leading a country or market or large channel in an executive capacity

  • Experience in managing a multi-country team of sales professionals

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent knowledge of the DACH market: key client segments, main players, key product interest

  • Excellent knowledge of Invesco products, processes, regulatory requirements and business risk

  • Deep knowledge of Invesco investment strategies and wider industry and market issues and trends

  • Detailed knowledge of current economic and political environment.Knowledge of product, operations and marketing to lead an overall business
