Job Description

Global Network Services Latin America (GNS LAC) organization partners with banks and financial institutions to issue cards and acquire merchants on the American Express network. Through these partnerships, GNS LAC increases the number of American Express cards in the markets, enhances merchant coverage and, provides exciting and innovative new products around the world. This position has the responsibility to leads teams or colleagues directly or indirectly in the setup and maintance on the American Express Global Network. This position primarily will provide support in The Caribbean and to the Latin America Region. 


Reporting directly to the PBS VP, the colleague will manage the enablement and on-going support of payments technology solutions provided by the Amex network with partners. This position will be responsible for driving effective partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure GNS LAC interests. The individual will work with the Finance, Technologies, Legal, Compliance, Global Network Business, and Risk teams to support our Partners on the GNS Network.
REQUIREMENTS
 
•              Build strong and productive relationships and credibility across multiple levels of our partners technologies and payments organization.
•              Ability to build strong and influential working relationships across all levels of American Express staff groups to bring the full range of business-to-business capabilities, resources and advantages to the GNS Caribbean partners.
•              Deploy best in class American Express assets, platforms, and capabilities and best practice to drive superior performance of this product on the AXP network vs. performance and opportunity of product on legacy network.
•              Select job responsibilities require partner management with the LAC region.
•              Ensure partner compliance with GNS policies and adherence to American Express standards.
•              Identify, document, monitor and coordinate the timely resolution of operational problems reported by partners.
•              Interface with the various business groups to provide updates on issue resolution and partner operational performance.
•              Identify reengineering opportunities/process improvements and develop business cases for the Network and GNS partners. 
•              Support the launch of new partners and new to Network capabilities.
•              Support the launch of new products, including Beta testing and BIN sourcing.
•              Travel 40%
 
QUALIFICATIONS
•              Superior and proven understanding and experience of all aspects of card issuing, acquiring, processing, and servicing.
•              Excellent relationship management skills and a track record of having built influential and credible relationships across both internal and external stakeholders.
•              Ability to influence without direct authority.
•              Ability to project and represent the Blue Box in a professional manner.
•              Excellent consulting skills to become the payment expert in the industry representing Amex.
•              Excellent end-to-end project management skills.
•              Ability to clearly communicate at technical and non-technical levels.
•              Excellent presentation and training facilitation skills.
•              Strong project management & relationship management skills.
•              Ability to interact at all levels with internal and external partners.
•              Fully bilingual (verbal and written) in English and Spanish.
