Job Duties and Qualifications
- Preferably experience in Mud logging + and or Geologist + LWD (logging while drilling).
- The most advanced level position that, under limited supervision, performs support functions involved in data entry, preparation and review of petrophysical logging data and computation of petrophysical models.
- Receives only limited direction.
- Must use initiative and judgement within scope of assignment in everyday work.
- Assists professionals in the application of well site geology, subsurface methods, sedimentary petrology and advanced computer systems.
- Must be proficient with contouring structural maps, isopach maps and bottom hole temperature maps.
- Corrects and utilizes computer data programs.
- May perform minimal examination and description of cores and well cuttings.
- Typically requires an Associate's degree in a related field of science and/or 12+ years of related experience.
