How will you make an impact in this role?

The Enterprise Essentials team within Financial Data Engineering is hiring a Python Backend Developer (Engineer I) with expertise in Python backend development using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Sanic. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Natural Language Processing (NLP), deep learning, and familiarity with Generative AI frameworks such as LangChain. Experience with Rasa for building conversational AI systems is also highly desirable.

As a Python Backend Developer, you will be responsible for building and optimizing scalable backend systems, integrating advanced AI models, and contributing to cutting-edge applications in the fields of NLP and Generative AI. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement state-of-the-art solutions for intelligent applications.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Sanic, ensuring high performance, scalability, and security.

• NLP and AI Integration: Develop and integrate advanced NLP models and frameworks, focusing on Natural Language Understanding (NLU) and Natural Language Generation (NLG).

• Deep Learning and Generative AI: Work with frameworks like LangChain to integrate and fine-tune generative AI models that improve the overall capabilities of applications. Develop pipelines that leverage deep learning for real-time predictions and data analysis.

• Conversational AI Development: Leverage Rasa to build and enhance conversational AI platforms, integrating them into existing systems to create seamless user experiences through intelligent chatbots and assistants.

• API Development: Design and implement efficient RESTful APIs to serve AI models and integrate them with other systems.

• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and improve backend performance to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime, particularly in applications requiring real-time AI processing.

• Collaboration with AI/ML Teams: Collaborate closely with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and product teams to deploy AI models, providing backend support for integrating AI into production systems.

• Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI, NLP, and backend technologies. Apply new methodologies and best practices to enhance existing systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Python backend development using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Sanic.

• Strong understanding of Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques and deep learning frameworks.

• Experience with Rasa for building conversational AI solutions.

• Familiarity with LangChain or similar Generative AI frameworks.

• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of cloud platforms for deploying AI and backend services (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data engineering using PySpark and GCP.

• Knowledge of ML Ops for managing and automating machine learning workflows.

• Hands-on experience in designing and optimizing deep learning models for NLP tasks.

• Familiarity with other conversational AI tools and frameworks (e.g., Dialogflow, GPT-based systems).

• Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes for AI systems.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

• Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
