The Corporate department proposes payment solutions (individual or centralized, issued or virtual), cutting-edge tools (reporting) and expert teams that help companies and public organizations better manage and control their travel expenses as well as, more broadly, indirect and strategic spend.

 

Within the Corporate Large Market team and managed by the Key Accounts Deputy Director, this mission is a fantastic opportunity, at the crossroad between Sales and Account Management. 

How will you make an impact in this role? 

Responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to manage, retain and develop a portfolio of key accounts -- national (private, public) as well as international -- amongst the most important for our company.

  • Guarantee a best in class relationship between our department and our clients. To do so, be recognized by his/her customers as a trusted advisor, able to transform objections and daily operational issues in opportunities to enhance service and maximize sales.  
  • Sale and coordinate deployment of American Express solutions to maximize revenue growth: T&E (linked to travel expenses) and B2B (linked to any other company day-to-day commodities).
  • Anticipate rebid phases and respond to requests for proposal to maximize retention success. To do so, negotiate commercial and contractual conditions then guarantee rapid deployment of signed contracts.

Critical challenges of this position:

  • Meet or exceed overall portfolio growth, sales (booked charge volume) and retention targets.

  • Develop strong effective relationships with client stakeholders thus reinforcing the American Express value, our positioning and differentiation Vs competition. 

  • Drive portfolio’s profitability in a highly competitive environment

  • For public sector accounts: understanding of the stakes and process regulated by the public procurement code

  • For international accounts: animate card programs with central client teams and, when applicable, coordinate with in-countries American Express bodies that trade with clients’ subsidiaries.  

  • Work in a partnership mode with external business partners (business travel agencies, hotel booking agencies, self booking tool editors…) 

  • In order to optimize service quality and sales cycle efficiency, coordinate with support teams in charge of day to day client servicing

  • Although in a remote relationship, work closely (in English) with our foreign-based Central teams so as to efficiently manage all aspects of the business. 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • Enthusiasm and positive attitude

  • Ability to work in an multi-cultural environment

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • A-Level + 4years minimum

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Key Account / Sales Manager position in complex environments (private et/or public sector)

  • Knowledge of corporate / financial and/or business travel spheres

  • B2B orientation / experience 

  • Fluent in English
