How will you make an impact in this role?

This role is within the Products Go-To-Market Strategy team of Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) business unit of American Express.  GMNS primarily focuses on the businesses that accept our cards. We bring together the businesses that manage and evolve the company's relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express, as well as the team that runs the company’s payment network and manages bank partnerships globally.  

The GMNS Products Go-To-Market team is critical to the growth of American Express, aiming to create more value for our Card Members, merchants, and bank partners by driving distribution of multiple GMNS solutions across the customer landscape.  

The right candidate in this role will support the development and management of Go-To-Market initiatives to drive global distribution of Amex products with Merchants, Third Party Partners, Bank Partners, and other customers. 

Responsibilities include supporting the Products GTM Strategy team on the below initiatives:

  • Go-To-Market Databases: Create and maintain centralized product databases such as Go-To-Market Plans, product information library, etc.

  • Go-To-Market Governance: Consolidate marketing requests from product teams, and partner with internal marketing teams to produce product marketing assets.

  • Reporting: Manage feedback loop across internal product partners and stakeholders, and periodic Go-To-Market reporting.

  • Partner Management: Manage customer onboarding, pipeline, and contracts for one or more products.

  • Analytics: Analyze large data sets to develop product content such as quantified claims and business cases.

  • Strategic Support: For other team members as needed on several Go-To-Market strategic initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Preferred Bachelors degree in a quantitative or business field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in business consulting, strategy development, marketing and/or data analytics.

Relevant skills:

  • Results-oriented and intellectual curiosity: Ability to learn quickly, creative & independent thinker who’s organized, and has great attention to detail.

  • Highly collaborative: Ability to partner with internal and external stakeholders and work effectively in a cross-functional environment with global partners.

  • Business Communication Skills: Proficient in developing very high-quality presentations, business reports, and product material tailored to different audiences.

  • Strategic Thinking: Comfortable navigating large data sets and making strategic recommendations.

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to wear different hats, highly energetic and optimistic, good sense of humor, and willingness to flex per team and business needs.

  • Passion for payments and innovation: Demonstrated interest in the payments industry and disruptive technologies.

Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits

The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
