How will you make an impact in this role?

Global Merchant Marketing & Analytics team is dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers together and transforming how American Express is welcomed. GMS Marketing & Analytics is responsible for partnering with GMS (Global Merchant Services) markets to drive profitable growth, accelerate coverage and enhance the value of Amex acceptance to merchants and Card Members at scale. We focus on enhancing our relationships with millions of merchants of all shapes and sizes, and our geographic purview includes many commerce hubs across the globe including the U.S, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

This person will execute an innovative marketing and communication plan for the Managed Portfolio, to deliver targets and maximizing net income. As a key contributor to the GMNS strategy in Mexico, this analyst will be part of a team charged with managing our multi-merchant and multi-industry campaigns, focused on accelerating marketing value, improving merchant volume, Card Member spend and deliver Plan N goals. The successful candidate will bring a strong customer first mindset along with a proven ability to collaborate and drive results among a diverse stakeholder group, providing an insights-driven strategic thought leadership through marketing excellence, operating as trusted market consultants to differentiate our network and support GMS Mexico to achieve its business priorities.

The chosen candidate will work directly with the Marketing Manager in order to effectively communicate, gain support and execute on strategic initiatives that require involvement from multiple merchants and stakeholders – across both the issuer and acquirer businesses. Key stakeholders and partners include Business Insights and Analytics, CCLM, Small Merchants and Consumer.

Responsibilities:

·         Execute strategy to maximize Plan N growth maximizing all marketing capabilities, such as Offers platform.

·         Lead the promotion platforms, which included setup, management, user experience, results to drive key business objectives as cardmember engagement, site traffic and optimization, offer performance and communication implementation.

·         Successfully develop partnership programs and structure strategic multi-merchants’ campaigns within the CCLM portfolio, to accelerate business growth and deepen our relationship with our merchants.

·         Partner and collaborate with Client Management organization and Issuing teams to provide local marketing consultancy and support to the portfolio of merchants.

·         Develop Marketing and communication campaigns for merchants delivering value to our cardmembers.

·         Always on communication, media, creatives, and channel management aligned to our merchant strategies.

·         Work closely with agencies to improve promotion performance driving plan N penetration and usage of Amex Promotion platform.

·         Present strategies and plans to internal stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in progressive development and management of marketing/commercial strategies, marketing campaigns, including testing strategies, analyzing data to identify business opportunities, suggesting, and implementing actions.

·         Superior communication and influencing skills, analytical skills will be highly regarded.

·         Project management skills – flawless campaign execution with keen attention to details

·         Ability to operate productively and independently in a fast-moving, high-energy environment and juggle many priorities at once and manage timelines.

·         Strong business management skills and organizational skills.

·       Proven ability to build and leverage strong relationships, and take initiative, champion a project from conception through implementation to evaluation.

·         Demonstrated experience in engaging with external customers, business partners and delivering compelling programs and results.
